Visitors to Cleveland’s Public Square now have state-of-the-art wireless internet service, thanks to two local companies.

Everstream Solutions LLC, a fiber network service provider headquartered in downtown Cleveland, will give visitors Wi-Fi service with high-speed bandwidth that will give the people who visit annually access to streaming video, news and email while watching kids splashing in the fountains, eating lunch or finding a place to work outdoors.

“Public Square is an integral part of downtown Cleveland’s landscape,” said Brett Lindsey, Everstream’s president and CEO, in a news release. “Everstream is proud to call Cleveland home and wanted to give back to the businesses, employees, and visitors who enjoy all that Public Square has to offer.”

In 2016, Everstream moved its Cleveland headquarters to the historic Halle Building.

Public Square’s new internet services were also made possible with technical support and donations from ForeFront Technology, an IT service provider based in Cleveland’s Warehouse District, not far from Public Square.

“The Group Plan Commission is grateful for the support of these two Cleveland-based companies,” said Dustin Wadsworth, director of Public Square’s digital marketing for the commission, which oversees the public spaces in the center of downtown Cleveland. “We’re confident that this new technology will enhance the experience for future guests and event promoters.”
